Impo rtant Safety Precau tions for Chain Saw Users A. K ickback Safe ty Precautions Warning ! Kickbac k may occu r when the nos e or tip of the gu ide bar touche s an object, or when the wood clos es in and pinches the saw chain in the cut. Tip contact in some cases may cause a lightning fast reverse reaction , kicking the guide bar up and back towards the operator. Pinch ing the saw chain along the top of the gu ide bar may push the guide bar rapidly bac k towa rds the operator. Either of these reaction s may cause yo u to lose control of the saw wh ich cou ld resu lt in seriou s person al inju ry.
